I logged into Aitubo the other day, (pronounced A-EYE-tubo in case you're wondering) to create a music track for my Realtor friend, Annette — and while waiting for the audio to render, I noticed the Video tab quietly sitting in the sidebar menu. I hadn’t clicked on that in months. The last time I did, it only generated 5-second clips from a text prompt — and they were okay, but a bit limited.
✅ Quick Answer: Can Aitubo make videos now?
Yes! Aitubo now generates 5-second AI video clips not only from text prompts but also from still images — and lets you extend or refine them with updated prompts. It’s a game-changer for creators!
Curious, I clicked it again… and wow, things have changed. Aitubo’s video generator has seriously leveled up. Now you can animate still images with motion-driven prompts, extend clips seamlessly, and even re-prompt from earlier frames if something goes off course.
And that, my friends, is 100% AI-generated Aitubo video magic!
Let’s be honest: finding just the right stock footage is time-consuming, expensive, and often… kinda off. Aitubo gives you total control in 3 key ways:
🎥 Social Media Creator
Make short, scroll-stopping videos for Instagram Reels and TikToks — no filming needed
🎙 Podcaster
Animate your still headshot — blink, smile, turn — for an animated avatar clip
📚 Author
Subtly animate your book cover: light shimmer, slow zoom, title sparkle
🏠 Realtor
Animate a portrait shot to add life to a listing intro
🎵 Musician
Bring a still album cover to life with subtle movement for song teasers
🧠 Educator
Create short visual explainers or animated intros without recording yourself
Text-to-Video
Type in a prompt, and Aitubo turns it into a 5-second animated clip
Image-to-Video
Upload a still image (like a headshot or photo) and use a prompt to animate it — think smile, blink, turn head, wink
Reference to Video
This powerful feature lets you upload multiple images (like characters, props, or objects) and combine them into a single animated scene.
It's perfect for creators who want more control over visual elements — say, a panda wearing a cowboy hat and playing a guitar.
You’ll still guide the animation with a prompt, just like usual.
Extend Video
Build on your clip in 5-second increments — no stitching needed, and add Camera Control. See the image below
This part impressed me most:
You can even review each clip like a timeline and build toward your final animation in stages.
🎬 For full-length scenes, you’d still combine your mini-clips in a tool like Camtasia, Canva, CapCut, Descript, or Adobe Premiere Pro.
Upscale
Boost the final resolution of your clip (1080p, 2k, 4k, 8k) — if it qualifies!
Upload a good-quality image (like a headshot with a clean background), then guide the animation with short, clear prompts like:
“Smiles, shows teeth, then glances up and to the right, blinking softly.”
It really does what you ask — just don’t make it too complicated. Keep it natural and camera-friendly.
Ask ChatGPT (or a similar AI tool) to help! I often get help rewording prompts to sound more descriptive or expressive — especially when I want a wink, a slight head tilt, or a glance that’s more subtle than robotic.
Directly below your prompt box is a little toggle labeled Prompt Enhance.
If you turn it on, Aitubo uses AI behind the scenes to “clean up” your prompt for clarity and flow. You won’t see what it changes — but I’ve found the results are often more natural and polished when it’s on.
Aitubo includes a Camera Control setting that lets you animate the lens itself. Options include:
This gives you more cinematic control over how your clip "moves," even if your subject stays still.
One new feature that’s especially fun — you can now generate audio to sync with your animated video right inside Aitubo. It’s not for lipsyncing (yet), but it does add background music or ambient sound that fits the tone and timing of your scene.
Great for making your clip feel “complete” without having to import it into another audio tool.
Aitubo’s video tool is perfect for creators who want:
Even if you’re used to static social posts or talking-head videos, this gives you a new creative edge — and can be as simple or complex as you need.
Not a fan of being on camera? Aitubo lets you create standout content without stepping in front of one.

Can I use Aitubo videos for commercial projects?
Yes — check their terms, but as of now, clips can be used in commercial content.
Can I control the camera angle or movement?
Yes! See the “Controlling Camera Angles” section above for all the options available.
Do I need to merge or stitch Aitubo clips together?
✅ No — if you're using the “Extend” feature on a clip, Aitubo automatically builds the animation in 5-second segments, stacking them seamlessly into one smooth scene.
❌ Yes — if you're creating separate clips (for example, with different images, characters, or settings), you'll need to combine them manually using a video editor like Camtasia, Canva, CapCut, or Descript.
Can I improve the video quality or resolution before downloading?
Yes — Aitubo offers a Video Upscale feature that lets you increase the resolution (to 1080p, 2k, 4k, or even 8k). Just make sure the resolution you choose is higher than your original clip’s size — otherwise the task will fail.
Can I add audio to my Aitubo video?
Yes — Aitubo lets you generate AI-powered background audio that syncs with your clip. It’s not lipsynced narration (yet), but it's great for setting the mood or adding music.
Aitubo’s video tool is fast, flexible, and surprisingly fun to work with. Whether you’re animating headshots, testing prompt ideas, or just tired of overpriced stock clips, this feature gives you more control over your visual content — without needing to shoot a single frame of video.
