Pinterest Tips Roundup: What’s Working in July 2025

Welcome to the very first edition of my Pinterest Tips Roundup! Each month, I’ll be sharing helpful highlights and smart strategies from trusted creators, marketers, and Pinterest insiders.

✅ Quick Answer: What’s Inside the July Pinterest Roundup?
This July 2025 roundup covers what’s actually working right now on Pinterest — from smart schedulers like Tailwind, to group board strategies that still deliver reach, to trending summer themes like slow living, nostalgic fashion, and fall prep Pins. It's a fast, fresh scan of real-time Pinterest insights.

If you’re looking to grow your reach, stay ahead of the trends, or just figure out what the heck to Pin this week—you’re in the right place.

While I’m not a Pinterest strategist, I am in the trenches building my boards and testing what works. These are some gems I found this week. Hope they help you too!

July’s tips are all about working smarter (not harder), using automation the right way, and tapping into what’s trending now.

Automate Pinterest the Smart Way (Tailwind Scheduler)

Using Tailwind's Scheduler - July

If you’ve ever felt like manually posting to Pinterest is a never-ending game of “oops I forgot again,” then Tailwind’s Pinterest Scheduler might just be your new best friend.

Here’s the deal: Tailwind’s tool is like having a Pinterest-savvy assistant who actually shows up — even when you’re off sipping coffee, working on your next blog post, or just living your life. It lets you batch your Pin creations, plan them out visually on a drag-and-drop calendar, and then auto-publishes them at the best times (based on your own audience data, not generic charts). No guesswork. No mid-week scramble.

One standout feature is SmartSchedule — it analyzes when your audience is most engaged and posts accordingly. So instead of “Tuesday at 10 just because,” your Pins go out when people are actually scrolling and saving. That’s visibility without the stress. Although I haven’t taken advantage of the “post at best times” feature yet, I have to assume it works in both our favor — theirs and ours. Until that day arrives, you can just call me a bit of a control freak. 😉

I also love the idea of the interval scheduling option — perfect if you're sharing to multiple boards without spamming. And for those of us who juggle more than a few boards (guilty!), the Board Lists feature makes scheduling feel like slicing butter, not herding cats.

While there are other schedulers out there, Tailwind’s been in Pinterest’s corner since the early days — and it shows. The integration, the features, the time savings? Perfectomundo.

Do Pinterest Group Boards Still Work in 2025?

Group Board in Pinterest - July

Short answer? Yep — they do... if you choose the right ones and don’t just Pin and ghost.

Group boards have had a bit of a roller-coaster reputation over the years, but in Daniella van den Huijssen’s recent post, she reminds us that well-moderated, active group boards are still a smart way to get extra eyeballs on your Pins — especially if you're new to Pinterest, promoting a shop, or dabbling in affiliate links.

Here’s the scoop: when you join a group board, your Pins can show up in the feeds of other contributors' followers — giving your content reach beyond your own account. It’s like having a megaphone you didn’t know you had. But not all group boards are created equal!

Spammy ones? Avoid.

Active, niche boards with engagement? Yes, please.

Daniella suggests:

  • Finding boards via influencer accounts in your niche
  • Checking engagement levels (you want good follower-to-pin ratios)
  • And always following the join instructions politely (etiquette matters!)

Once you’re in, don’t go on a Pinning spree — stick to 2–3 quality Pins per week, and follow the board’s rules. Oh, and actually engage with other Pins on the board! Pinterest rewards users who play nice and stay active.

If you're tracking your results (which you should!), use Tailwind or Pinterest Analytics to see what kind of traction each group board is bringing in. Pro tip? Keep a simple spreadsheet of which ones work best for you.

July 2025 Pinterest Trends You Can Use Now

July's Pinterest Trends by Daniella

While July is full of beach trips, iced coffee, and slower living, Pinterest is still humming along — and it’s the perfect time to Pin with intention.

In her latest post, Daniella van den Huijssen highlights Pinterest’s July trends and trust me, it’s a summer smorgasbord. Think: cozy “slow living” vibes, garden-to-table meals, nostalgic fashion, and coastal interior inspo. It’s all about light, ease, and nature-forward content right now.

So, what should you be Pinning? Garden-fresh recipes, picnic ideas, rustic wedding boards, coastal bedroom makeovers, and summer skincare are all having a moment. But here’s the savvy part — start mixing in your fall content too. Back-to-school ideas, cozy meal plans, and reset routines should be posted now so Pinterest can index them before those searches spike in late August.

Daniella also shares a fabulous list of trending keyword phrases across categories like wellness, crafts, recipes, parenting, finance, and fashion. From “heatless pool hairstyles” to “digital detox summer challenge” to “mulberry recipes” — there’s something in there for every kind of pinner. And yes, even baggy jorts for kids made the cut. 😄

Bottom line? Even if your pace is slower this summer, keep your content consistent. Pinterest rewards creators who show up, and this is the season to mix fun + forward-thinking.

July Planning Tips from Simple Pin Media

What to Pin in July - Kate Ahl

Kate Ahl over at Simple Pin Media has her finger firmly on the pulse of Pinterest. In her July update, she reminds us that Pinterest users are planners. If you're pinning what people want now instead of what they'll want next, you're already behind!

So what’s trending in July? Think summer barbecues, side salads, garden goodies, and yes… back to school (already!). It might feel early, but Pinterest shoppers — especially moms — are already searching for school supply organization, routine resets, and snack ideas. Prime Day also hits this month, which means affiliate marketers can have a field day promoting gift guides, must-haves, and even early Christmas ideas.

Kate also highlights seasonal lifestyle content: travel Pins for the adventurous, staycation tips for the homebodies, and summer cocktails for… well, everyone else. 😄 And if you’ve got food content? Sunday is your time to shine. She recommends pinning your recipes on Saturday and Sunday, because that's when Pinterest users are meal planning for the week ahead.

What I loved most? Her reminder that one good lifestyle photo + one product shot is the magic combo for ecommerce folks. People want to imagine your product in their life, not just in a static box.

It’s all about strategy, not overwhelm. So carve out a bit of time each month, make a pinning plan, and stick with it — even if it’s just 1–2 hours.

What I’m Personally Trying on Pinterest This Month

If you’ve been following me for more than five minutes, you know I don’t just read these tips — I test them. This month I’m doing a little Pinterest experiment of my own:

  • Scheduling a minimum of 5 pins per day using Tailwind’s manual scheduler (I pick the time and date myself — yep, that’s control-freak me kicking in…)
  • Gleaning keyword ideas directly from Tony Hill’s PinClicks app (it’s a goldmine!)
  • Creating fresh pins for older content that deserves a second chance

It’s a light lift, but I’m already seeing traction. I’ll share what worked best in next month’s roundup!

Note: I’m a proud PinClicks user and affiliate. If you join through my link, I may earn a small commission — at no extra cost to you.

And there you have it — July’s Pinterest pulse in a nutshell! Whether you’re batching Pins with Tailwind, experimenting with group boards, or riding the wave of seasonal trends, the key takeaway is this: keep showing up with content your audience is already searching for.

Pinterest rewards consistency, creativity, and strategy (with a healthy side of summer fun). I’ll be back next month with another roundup to help you stay ahead of the curve — or better yet, on trend. 🎯
